Pond and Lake Planting

We have a first-class knowledge of aquatic plants and can provide pond or lake planting advice and planting service to suit your needs whether they are pond-ready in baskets, floating planters or planted directly in clay ponds or lakes.

Koi ponds do not normally contain plants as the Koi have a tendency to devour any vegetation, whereas ornamental ponds benefit from better water quality and surface cover with a balanced mix of deep water plants, oxygenating plants, marginal and floating plants. Wildlife plants and lakes also benefit from a mix of native plants.

Plants do not thrive well generally with ducks present, but there are some ‘duck-friendly’ varieties we can recommend.
